Overview
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU). There is an opportunity for the right candidate to join our dynamic and fast-paced AMU environment. We are a 39-bed AMU over 6 bays with an aim of length of stay of less than 24 hours.
Responsibilities- In charge on a day-to-day basis, attending bed meetings, working with the flow coordinator, and ensuring that staff and patients are well cared for.
- Ensure that quality care is maintained on the Acute Medical Unit.
- Support the AMU team in achieving efficient patient flow and safe care delivery.

We are excited about joining TeamQEH as we work on a major programme to build a new state-of-the-art hospital due to open in 2031/32 and undertake a large digital transformation project. Our new electronic patient record (EPR) will replace paper-based records from 2026 to support better, safer, joined-up care at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and beyond. The QEH serves around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, North Cambs and South Lincs.
