Overview:

A long‑established engineering and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop food processing machinery and bespoke stainless‑steel equipment. Ideal for someone with strong Solid Works, 3D CAD, and Design for Manufacture (DFM) skills.

Role Responsibilities:

Design mechanical products and food machinery from concept to manufacture.
Create 3D models and assemblies using Solid Works.
Produce detailed manufacturing drawings with materials, weld symbols, and tolerances.
Apply DFM for stainless‑steel fabrication and hygienic equipment design.
Develop conveyors, frames, guarding, processing equipment, and related assemblies.
Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to optimise manufacturability.
Support product improvements and innovation.

About You:

Experience as a Design or Mechanical Design Engineer in food machinery, equipment manufacturing, or processing equipment.
Strong Solid Works and engineering drawing ability.
Knowledge of stainless‑steel fabrication, conveyors, sheet metal, and hygienic design.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours:

Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm. Overtime available at time‑and‑a‑half.
