Animal Care Lecturer – Part-time, 30 hours per week, long-term temporary role starting ASAPThe college provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where learners are supported to achieve their potential. Duties as Animal Care Lecturer:- Deliver engaging lessons in animal care across a range of levels
- Plan and prepare schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum requirements
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate records of achievement and attendance
- Support learners with practical skills development in animal handling and welfare
- Contribute to departmental meetings and curriculum development
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all practical activities
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Animal Care or related subject
- Experience teaching or working within an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of animal welfare, husbandry, and related practices
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of varying abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
