Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail & Store Manager
"Position Overview
PBNA $20.50 / hour. Full‑time. This position is responsible for product merchandising within large volume stores (grocery, etc.). Tasks include stocking shelves, rotating shelved product, setting up displays, stocking and rotating products in coolers, organizing and rotating products in storage rooms, and moving products from storage to the sales floor. The role interacts with store personnel. It is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing 20‑45 pounds per case, as well as bending, reaching, and squatting while merchandising and moving products.
The schedule follows a consistent pattern with specific start times, with the opportunity to attain different work schedules with time.
- Merchandise store shelving, coolers, and displays with products in assigned accounts
- Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf
- Transport products to and from backroom to shelf location
- Use equipment to transport products (e.g., U Boats, hand trucks, pallet jacks)
- Display promotional material such as signs and banners in accounts
- Keep back‑room stock neat and orderly
- Communicate store issues to store managers and Pepsi Co management
- Build customer relationships at the store level
- Comply with operating procedures (e.g., scan‑in/scan‑out, following designated route)
- Service accounts during designated times established by management
- Deliver customer service (communication, rapport building, attentiveness to customer needs)
- Operate under minimal supervision (self‑managed role)
- Use handheld devices to write/input orders
- Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- 18 years or older
- Pass the physical capabilities test (if applicable)
- Have car or personal transportation to access multi‑store locations within assigned shift
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Proof of insurance
- Experience in a retail or grocery store (understanding store operations, back‑room management, stocking aisles and shelves)
- Proficiency in moving products within a store (stacking and moving products on equipment such as U‑boats, hand trucks, or dollies)
- Merchandising skills (filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive, rotating products, cleaning shelves, eliminating out‑of‑stocks and out‑of‑date products)
- Managing back‑room/stock room inventory (organizing pallets, stacking, and storing inventory or products)
- Serving customers (handling complaints, responding to customer requests, meeting customer needs)
Because the material job duties involve regular field work (visiting customer locations and interfacing with employees, vendors, and customers), a conditional offer of employment is contingent upon a successful pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
