Essential Job Functions Merchandiser
- Greet customers on the sales floor and direct them to product or parts specialists.
- Check out customers and deter shoplifters.
- Keep the front area stocked and fronted, stock merchandise according to planograms or displays, and complete sales preparation.
- Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
- Make all out‑front price changes.
- Maintain “sale” signs, stock the sales flyer rack, and keep sufficient quantities of sale merchandise on display.
- Remove all sale material when the sale ends and restore original pricing.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Work with the manager to complete the store To‑Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
- Act as the main shop‑lifting deterrent and front‑floor security.
- Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
- Clock in and out per company policy.
- Check out customers purchasing front‑floor merchandise quickly and friendly.
- Handle merchandise returns efficiently.
- When the express lane is not in use and the counter is busy, assist customers by finishing tickets, accepting money, checks, and credit cards.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, AbilitiesRequired:
- Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
Desired:
- Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
