PositionPer Diem Occupational Therapist – $61.85/hr
LocationKingman, Arizona
Position PurposeAll KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in support of KHI’s vision to be among the kindest, highest quality health systems in the country. The incumbent shall provide a full range of Occupational Therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.
With each patient encounter, use AIDET, perform hand hygiene, assist with positioning for comfort and pain management, and conduct environment checks prior to leaving the patient’s room while maintaining a clean and organized environment.

- Conduct an Occupational Therapy evaluation or screen.
- Develop an individualized Plan of Care with functional goals.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Evaluate patient response to treatment and modify plan as necessary.
- Document the course of patient care including progress and continuing need for treatment.
- Provide patient and/or family education to help achieve goals.
- Communicate and demonstrate a professional image for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
- Adhere to policies, rules, and regulations from KHI, the Arizona State Board of Occupational Therapy, and Medicare.
- Assist with orientation of new staff as requested.
- Meet KHI requirements for skills competency and safety.
- Participate in continuing education/professional development activities.
- Assist with the Occupational Therapy and Assistant student program.
- Participate in staff meetings, client relations and marketing activities.
- Documentation is complete and accurate, meeting all KHI, Arizona State Board of Occupational Therapy, and Medicare regulatory requirements.
- Billing is completed by the end of each shift, is accurate, meets reasonable and necessary requirements, and is justified in the documentation.
- Individual productivity meets department standards.
- Patient satisfaction will meet or exceed department standards.
- Education:
Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program. - Licensure:
Current OT License through the AZ Board of Occupational Therapy - Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience:
Recent experience working with an adult and geriatric population
Education/experience serving people with physical disabilities is desirable.
