Position: Special Education Essentials Teacher
Campus: Kingman Middle School
School Year: 2026-27 (July 22, 2026 - May 19, 2027)

- Base Pay: KUSD's minimum and maximum new hire salary ranges for teachers include the district's contracted salary, determined by years of experience and higher education, plus state-funded Prop 301 money. The contracted salary in combination with $8,500 in 301 money creates the base wages for teachers, which are represented by the salary ranges.
- Up to four years of teaching experience: $45,575 - $55,475.
- Four or more years of teaching experience: $47,575 - $57,475.
- Performance Pay: In addition to base pay, certified teaching staff are eligible for an additional $4,500 in Prop 301 performance pay.
- One-Time Critical Needs Stipends (all critical needs stipends pending appropriate teaching certification):
- Math, science, and kindergarten: one-time $2,000 stipend.
- Special education: one-time $5,000 stipend.
- Available Annual Stipends (annual stipends pending appropriate teaching certification):
- Special Education Teachers: case management stipend up to $4,000 FY 2026-27.
- Special Education Teachers in ED-P classrooms: stipend $10,000 FY 2026-27.
- Bachelor's or more advanced degree from an accredited institution.
- Identity Verified Print (IVP) fingerprint clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Teaching certification through Arizona Department of
Education:
Standard Professional Mild/Moderate Disabilities, K-12 Certificate. - SEI, ESL or Bilingual Endorsement issued by Arizona Department of Education within one year of hire.
Arizona offers an alternative path to certification for those with a Bachelor's or more advanced degree who would like to pursue a career in teaching. Individuals pursuing a teaching career through this alternative pathway must enroll in a teacher preparation program approved by the Arizona Department of Education and obtain an Alternative Teaching Certificate to be eligible for hire.
