Office Assistant-Recess Duty

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the principal, head secretary, department head or other supervisor
, the office assistant provides general support for administrators, office staff and faculty. The incumbent may process student information; serve as a receptionist, answer telephones, take messages, make calls, assist students and visitors; manage/monitor the teacher's workroom; manage the copy center; and supervise students in various settings.

Classified position. Applicants must submit no later than Monday, March 9, 2026. 4.5 hours per day, 174 days per year. Salary Grade 4: $17.77 per hour (2025-26 Support Salary Table). Promotions result in a 5% minimum increase. This is a recess duty position.

• Provide general support to administrators, office staff, and faculty.
• Process student information.
• Act as receptionist: answer telephones, take messages, make calls, assist students and visitors.
• Manage/monitor the teacher's workroom.
• Manage/monitor the copy center.
• Supervise students in various settings.

• High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience.

• Basic office/secretarial skills.
