Lockheed Martin, a leader in advancing secure communications and cutting‑edge defense technology, seeks a Software Engineer to join our team in King of Prussia, PA. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission‑critical projects that protect and serve our nation’s defense.
In this position, you will play a key role as part of an Agile Development Team working on satellite communications (SATCOM) systems, focusing on developing and automating test solutions to ensure robust, secure, and resilient software products that meet high‑performance and security standards.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test software solutions that meet customer requirements, particularly for secure military communications.
- Develop and execute automated test cases using tools such as Cypress and Selenium for frontend testing and Postman for API validation.
- Implement high‑quality, efficient, and maintainable code, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across web applications and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contributing to requirements creation, test case development, and automated testing efforts.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous delivery of high‑quality solutions.
- Software factory experience.
- CICD, Kubernetes, and web‑based app experience.
- Automated test experience.
- Experience with containerization.
- Familiarity with modern backend and web frameworks such as .Net Core/Spring Boot or Angular/React.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
- Familiarity with military SATCOM systems and secure communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), particularly in secure, high‑performance applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team environment.
- Problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
