Are you a natural teacher who knows fire alarm and security systems and loves to share knowledge and educate others? Oliver Fire Protection & Security is enhancing their training program and has a contract position available to a highly qualified individual who can further educate our team of technicians. The instructor will conduct training classes for our already great fire alarm and security technicians team, including refresher courses, electrical theory and mathematics, advanced troubleshooting techniques, proper repair techniques, programming, and fire alarm system NFPA/NEC code interpretations and updates.
PreviousExperience
- 15+ Years in the Fire Alarm industry
- CFPS and/or NICET Certifications preferred
- Understanding of Fire Alarm Codes and Standards
- Experience programming fire alarm system per the specifications and design while meeting NFPA 72 code requirements
- Able to teach installation methods of fire alarm and security systems: wiring, devices, mounting the FACP and devices
- Previous teaching experience a plus
- Expert in installation methods, materials, fire and building codes and design standards.
- Understands panel programming software (not brand specific).
- Understands professionalism to help create and maintain superior customer relations.
- Selfless passion for teaching and educating others
- Computer literate
- Superior understanding of timely, professional, and quality service work on fire alarm and security systems
- References to be made available upon request
- This is a part-time contract position.
Location:
Philadelphia, PA | Salary: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00
