Regional Market Manager – Philadelphia
As the Regional Market Manager for Philadelphia, you will oversee a team of sales representatives responsible for revenue growth and market penetration in the assigned territory. You will build and maintain strong long‑term relationships with key producer partners for our Absence, Disability, and Life products and deliver on all sales and activity goals. You will establish business plans for your region and represent New York Life Group Benefit Solutions in the Life Absence and Disability employee benefits market.
What You’ll Do- Manage a team of professional sales employees within the King of Prussia office; recruit and develop sales talent to meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Establish, manage, and maintain effective long‑term relationships with key Producers (Brokers/Consultants) within the assigned territory to ensure quality partnerships and access to opportunities.
- Conduct site visits and Capability Meetings with assigned Producers to achieve sales targets.
- Develop and execute plans to increase opportunities and introduce products/services, management, and other resources to targeted Producer partners; responsible for individual sales and production from selected agencies.
- Develop and execute sales plans to increase sales revenue and market share for assigned territory and producers.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve sales objectives focused on the organization’s overall strategy.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all products, services, and operational structure to enhance the ability to identify and target sales growth opportunities and utilize solution selling techniques.
- Positively contribute to the organization through market intelligence, feedback, and process improvement recommendations.
- Perform in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations, and is ethical in all considerations.
- Manage expense budget.
- Maintain knowledge on current and emerging market changes/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate in current and future solutions.
- Maintain sales call data in appropriate systems and/or complete sales reports.
- Meet or exceed all sales goals for assigned territory.
- Provide information and solutions by educating internal and external partners on the company’s products, services, and capabilities.
- Support relationship management retention efforts and look for opportunities to cross‑sell and cross‑partner with appropriate stakeholders.
- Carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations, licenses, and guidelines.
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field, 5‑7+ years’ experience successfully selling Group Benefits to large and small employers, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Life and Health Licenses required in all areas assigned.
