CNC Machinist; SECOND SHIFT

Position

Lockheed Martin Space Production Operations is seeking an Experimental CNC Machinist to join our team in King of Prussia, PA.

Second Shift (2:30 PM - 12 AM) operations on a 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off). Support flexible work schedule for overtime, off‑Friday, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required.

• Follow instructions to machine, fabricate, or assemble parts to precision sheet specifications using CNC machines.
• Interpret CAD data, prints and sketches regarding fabrication and follow written instructions.
• Set up and operate one or more computer numerical controlled machining centers for both horizontal and vertical machines, performing drilling, milling, boring, and tapping, among other operations.
• Verify NC code during setup execution.
• Perform secondary operations during machine cycle such as deburring and straightening.
• Inspect parts prior to submission and during production using standard gauges, micrometers, indicators, vernier calipers, depth gauges, and other measuring devices to ensure conformity to specifications.
• Select and install proper cutting tools, zero the machine to control and make other necessary setup adjustments.
• Assist in providing feedback on prescribed processes, fixturing, and tooling to Manufacturing Engineers to ensure that off‑line engineering is complete and optimize efficiency before online operations.
• Analyze machining results and performance targets with budgeted times and communicate shift targets for jobs to be run in production.
• Maintain coolant levels and perform minor preventive maintenance to equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Understanding of G&M code.
• Ability to work varying shifts.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

• Siemens 840D Control Systems (Celos).
• Mazatrol.
• Mastercam/NX (a plus).

This position requires a government security clearance; must be a US citizen. Clearance level:
Secret.
