Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic, strategic, and hands-on General Manager to lead the launch and daily operations of our innovative retail experience inspired by Sloomoo. This concept blends a high-energy retail environment with DIY slime-making stations, immersive sensory play, and birthday party experiences. The General Manager will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring smooth and profitable daily operation.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure every guest has a joyful, fun, and safe sensory experience consistent with Sloomoo's brand values.
  • Handle guest concerns and feedback in real time with warmth, professionalism, and quick resolution.
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sensory interaction spaces, and accessibility.
  • Identify and engage with relevant influencers to create brand partnerships and collaborations.
  • Execute marketing strategies to increase brand visibility, reach, and engagement among target audiences.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging platforms to innovate influencer marketing strategies.
  • Full P&L responsibility.
  • Manage a team of about 20 employees.
  • Manage procurement and inventory.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and ensure staff follow them.
  • Maintain brand integrity throughout the experience.
  • Provide leadership and line management to the Sloomoo Inc. team with staffing planned for new developments.
  • Support operational departments to review practices and reduce risk of accidents.
  • Lead quarterly Health & Safety Committee meetings.
  • Maximize guest admissions income from forecasts and collaborate with senior management on forecasts and budgets.
  • Control labor spend to meet targets.
  • Provide a world-class guest experience as evidenced by positive survey results.
  • Provide an engaging and rewarding workplace with strong retention and promotion opportunities.
  • Deliver and contribute to the evolution of the Sloomoo Brand.
  • Meet projected guest counts and projections; implement improvements for guest satisfaction, employee experience, and revenue growth.
  • Use data to drive decision making for sales and production.
  • Complete accident/incident reports with follow-through within 24 hours.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field.
  • Retail experience is a must.
  • Experience in operational management within a guest-facing operation.
  • Budgetary and line management experience is essential.
  • Ability to prioritize needs across departments.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner with staff across the organization.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key consultants and contractors.
  • Diplomatic engagement with colleagues; energetic, perceptive, confident problem solver with good humor.
