Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Business as a Service team, responsible for serving data from our Data Warehouse (DWH) to various applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, user story creation, API integrations, and financial services experience. This hybrid role requires onsite presence three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in daily scrum stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

• Support product owners in maintaining the product backlog and scheduling upcoming releases

• Gather and analyze requirements, write user stories, and document use cases

• Interact with development teams, QA teams, Data Analysts, and Data Architects to ensure smooth project execution

• Conduct research and documentation to support business and technical decisions

• Participate in requirement and design review meetings to assess potential impacts of changes

• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in resolving production incidents

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance API integrations and data flow efficiency

• Utilize analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, identify risks, and propose effective solutions

• Ensure proper documentation and communication of business requirements and processes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in the financial services domain

• 4+ years of experience in an Agile environment, proficient in writing user stories and requirement gathering

• Strong knowledge of user acceptance testing (UAT) processes

• Experience with API integrations and system interactions

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate efficiently across teams

• Proven experience in research, documentation, and analytical problem-solving

• Hands-on experience with SQL or Python for data analysis and reporting

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of critical thinking to solve complex problems

• Ability to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial background is ideal but not mandatory
