Overview
Pharmacy Dispatcher - Full Time Day Shift – Jefferson King of Prussia. The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the logistics of Home Infusion delivery staff, compiling patient supplies, scheduling deliveries, managing supply inventory, driving as needed, and handling waste disposal preparation. The dispatcher acts as an ambassador for Jefferson Home Infusion and provides superior customer service to external and internal customers.
Responsibilities- Receives and manages telephone calls from patients, caregivers and other healthcare professionals requesting medical supply deliveries based on patient location; assigns Jefferson Home Infusion (JHIS) drivers for delivery of medication and supplies.
- Continuously monitors vehicle utilization and status and requests additional resources from the Director, Health Ventures when appropriate.
- Communicates with each JHIS driver via digital pager or cellular phone, assigning deliveries and coordinating logistics related to the patient.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in alignment with hospital core values.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
