Job Title

Scheduling Coordinator (Full-Time)

Job Summary

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for covering any aspect of the business office as necessary.

Supervisor

Reports to the Administrator

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Scheduling Surgeries
  • Patient Billing, Posting Payments, Collections
  • Chart preparation
  • Filing
  • Insurance Verification
  • Medical Records
  • Patient Registration
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years Medical Office experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers with experience in windows-based systems and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with medical practice billing software necessary
  • Team player, Ability to communicate effectively with center management, center staff, patients, their families, the physicians and their staff
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • Detail oriented;
    Ability to handle frequent interruptions that result in having to re-evaluate priorities
  • Proficient in medical terminology
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
Physical/Mental Demands

Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.

Environmental/Working Conditions

Normal busy office environment with much telephone work.
