Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Requirements & Verification Systems Engineer to develop, decompose, trace, verify, and validate system and subsystem requirements for high-impact national security programs.

In this role, you will work across engineering disciplines to ensure proper requirement allocation, manage verification artifacts, and maintain traceability throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
• Apply systems engineering principles across the full system development lifecycle, from concept definition through design, integration, verification, validation, and operations.
• Translate customer, mission, and stakeholder needs into clear, traceable technical requirements and system architectures.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams (software, hardware, manufacturing, test, quality, operations) to ensure system designs meet technical, cost, schedule, and risk objectives.
• Support development and maintenance of system architectures, interface definitions, and technical baselines.
• Perform and document system trade studies, analyses, and technical evaluations to support design decisions.
• Ensure alignment between requirements, design implementation, verification methods, and delivered products.
• Identify, assess, and help mitigate technical risks, issues, and dependencies throughout program execution.
• Participate in and support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineering teams, program leadership, and customers.
• Maintain accurate and compliant technical documentation and configuration-controlled artifacts. Important Notes

Clearance Required:

Active Top Secret (TS/SCI preferred)

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Experience in requirements development, decomposition, management, and traceability.
• Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, integration, verification, and validation.
• Experience with requirements tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next, or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
