Resident Construction Manager – Turnpike

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, seeks a Resident Construction Manager for an upcoming multi-year Turnpike project. The candidate must have Bridge Turnpike experience, reside within or be willing to travel between Mile Post 200 and Delaware River Bridge. Relocation or sponsorship not available; local candidates highly desirable.

• Conduct meetings with contractors and clients, draft correspondence, negotiate change orders, evaluate claims.
• Manage schedule, mitigation, project controls, quality control, contractor payment, material testing.
• Administer safety plans, coordinate public concerns, review submittals, and control documentation.
• Manage overall construction operations for large heavy highway projects.
• Lead construction inspection staff to maintain client satisfaction.
• Document contractor compliance with all project requirements.
• Provide construction management oversight and assume duties of Resident Manager expected by Owner.
• Work with management staff and superiors to provide excellent client service and maintain team atmosphere.

• Maintain field and field office supervisory role as required.
• Provide and maintain positive attitude to establish competence and pride in the company.
• Other duties may arise from time‑to‑time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• NICET Level 3 Certification preferred;
  Level 4 preferred.
• Professional Engineer License in good standing preferred.
• Minimum of 10 Years’ Construction Inspection I Supervisory Experience.
