Speech Language Pathologist – Paso Robles Area

Our client is a 25 bed Critical Access not for profit hospital centrally located in California, minutes to wine country and over 300 wineries.

Experience working in a flat organization with no more than two people between you and the CEO, quick decisions and the ability to make an impact without corporate approval. Work with patients in a quaint community from cradle to grave and get to know them as more than just a number.

Evaluate and treat patients under order from the referring physician. Evaluation and treatment programs are developed through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to improve communication and/or swallowing efficiency. He/She functions in accordance with the State Practice Act.

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
• Current License, certification or registration in the state of practice if required.

Skill Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess patient and family needs, and to also develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care
• Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standard/requirements
• Knowledge of Medicare documentation standards
• Recommended affiliation with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Licensing Requirements:

• Current CA Speech-Language Pathology License
