Position:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Consultant – T&OF based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
Hours:From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full‑time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part‑time staff) without loss of earnings.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
What you will do:- Work with key stakeholders across acute, primary care and community services including health, social care, third sector and public health.
- Provide a strong interface between North, South and East Ayrshire HSCP services to streamline patient care.
- Deliver on the agreed KPIs aligned to the Hip Fracture Audit, DWD, D2A and the frailty pathway.
- Provide nurse leadership to the MDT within Trauma and Orthopaedics with a strong focus on improving orthogeriatric care and reducing hospital length of stay.
- Lead on education and training across Trauma and Orthopaedics.
You will be able to evidence Master’s level education, experience of leading a clinical team, and advanced clinical skills in acute assessment/care and community rehabilitation.
