Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse within our inpatient service based at Marchburn Ward, East Ayrshire Community Hospital.

Hours And Shift Pattern

1 x 32.16 hour post is offered on a fixed term/secondment basis until the end of January 2027.

1 x 37 hour post is offered on a permanent basis that will require a flexible approach to shifts to meet the operational demands of the ward.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for delivering person centred care, evidence based, and recovery focused interventions and will also provide collaborative working within a multi-disciplinary team and across multi agency services. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to accept and/or delegate responsibility for the ongoing assessment, implementation and evaluation of care for patients. Applications are welcomed from individuals who will work as a key component of a multidisciplinary team and as such should have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills along with a positive attitude and a proven ability to work as part of a team.

Knowledge,

training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job
  • You should be willing to undertake training to develop skills and competencies as required.
  • This opportunity is available to individuals who have a genuine interest in working with people living with dementia. Previous experience in this field is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • RMN Qualified
  • Experience or interest in working with people with dementia
