Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non‑teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials, to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives identified within the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
RequirementsThe duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council.
PVG records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises; any information that is disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record that is relevant to the post will be discussed with the applicant prior to a formal offer.

This is a temporary, part‑time term‑time post based within Kilmaurs Primary School, ending on 26 June 2026. The hours of work are 27.5 hours per week, to be worked at the direction of the Line Manager. The full‑time salary range for the post is £25,298 – £26,372 per annum; the part‑time term‑time salary range is £17,048 – £17,771 per annum.
