Retail Sales Associate - 3700 at First Cash

We are seeking a full-time Retail Sales Associate to join our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and thrives on assisting customers with inquiries and problem resolution.

The associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more. The successful candidate earns hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.

Pay rate: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour
. A commission structure pays for every transaction processed, with potential to earn unlimited commission above base pay. Our associates can earn up to 8% commission on transactions (which could average an additional $3.98 per hour on top of hourly rate).

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items following company policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers to provide a positive customer experience.
• Completes required training successfully.
• Other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods per applicable laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Willingness to assist customers on exterior areas or storage locations as needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math skills.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
