Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented self-starter to lead recruitment efforts across our pain specialty programs. This role is focused on sourcing and hiring top talent, including physicians with interventional pain fellowship training (with program accreditation experience), advanced practitioners (APPs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), registered nurses, and clinic support staff. This role will play a critical part in shaping our provider’s workforce, ensuring adequate clinical coverage, and supporting practice growth.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, significant experience in full-cycle healthcare recruiting, the ability to engage with medical professionals of various levels and comfort in using digital tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to represent the organization effectively across diverse recruiting settings. The recruiter will serve as a key ambassador for the organization’s culture and mission, ensuring we attract and retain top-tier clinical talent.
Responsibilities And Duties- Develop, implement and continually refine recruitment strategies to attract physicians, CRNAs, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and clinic support personnel.
- Partner with company leadership to understand and forecast future provider hiring needs.
- Source candidates through diverse channels (professional networks, fellowship programs, social media, job boards, referral programs). Developing and maintaining relationships with interventional pain fellowship programs will be particularly important.
- Manage full recruitment lifecycle: advertisement, screening, interviewing, site visits, reference and background checks, credentialing, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
- Represent the organization at national pain specialty staffing conferences and other recruitment events.
- Collaborate with in-house general counsel to ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Manage recruitment budget, including advertising and travel.
- Track metrics (forecast of anticipated open positions, time to fill, hiring costs, retention, candidate pipeline status) and report to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, human resources, or related field is preferred.
- Five or more years of experience as a medical staff recruiter with full cycle recruitment, preferably within pain management, anesthesia, or related specialties.
- Knowledge of physician fellowship programs and interventional pain medicine preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated experience in using digital tools for sourcing, screening and engaging candidates.
- Ability to travel nationally (estimated 20–30% travel) for recruitment and conference attendance.
- Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Minimal lifting required with maximum of 50 lbs.
- Travel required.
