Position Overview

Dongjin Semichem Texas Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our environmental, health, and safety programs. The EHS Manager will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, promote a culture of safety, and implement risk-reduction strategies to protect employees, the community, and the environment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in chemical and manufacturing environments, and the ability to engage employees at all levels to maintain the highest standards of EHS performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Oversee hazardous waste management, chemical handling, and environmental compliance reporting.
  • Maintain permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation related to air, water, and waste management.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and employee training for fire, chemical spills, and other emergencies.
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to ensure safe design, maintenance, and operation of equipment.
  • Drive a culture of safety awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Track and analyze EHS performance metrics, preparing regular reports for leadership.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor EHS team members and support cross-functional teams in achieving EHS objectives.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by executive leadership.
Requirements / Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment.
  • 2+ years in an EHS leadership role strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable EHS regulations.
  • Experience with environmental permitting, hazardous waste management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EHS management software a plus.
  • Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in Korean a plus.
  • Based in Killeen, Texas.
