Centre Lathe Turner

Rate £16.12 (£32,691.36 per annum)

• Set and operate Manual Lathes
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc.
• Monitor feed and speed of manufacturing machinery
• Measure and record build tolerances and determine parts that require repair
• Self‑inspect your own work with hand tools

• Previous experience in setting and operating Manual Lathes
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Either time served or City and Guilds qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Familiarity with health and safety standards; any H&S qualifications would be a bonus
• Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield
• Full UK driving licence

• £16.12 per hour
• Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 16:30, Friday 8:00 – 15:30 (39 hour week)
• 33 days holiday inclusive of Bank holidays
• Pension
