Job SummaryThe expectation of this role is to increase skill set and scope, building on fundamental warehouse experience, as part of a road map that may progress to eligibility for the Leadership Training program.
While performing various tasks and duties needed to ensure that production departments receive parts needed for building boats in the prescribed time frame, warehouse inventory is maintained and organized, and the processing of inventory is handled across multiple part storage areas, this position will incorporate a focus towards independent decision making and contribution to strategic direction.
Job Duties- Works closely with other departments to ensure small part work orders are completed in timely manner.
- Sortation and distribution of daily pick tickets
- Closely monitors picked part timing to gauge efficiency and/or the need for alteration to schedule or prioritization.
- Hands on assistance in picking and stocking functions when necessary to meet timing goals.
- Reliable data entry and document control
- Delivery of materials throughout various production areas, keeping them orderly and ready for immediate use
- Maintaining organized, labelled, and stocked warehouse shelves, bins, and storage areas
- Retrieves and delivers off-line stock as needed.
- Maintains cycle count requirements necessary for inventory control purposes.
- Performs special inventories and quantity reconciliations of these counts to maintain inventory integrity.
- Assemble or complete pre-rigging to be sent out to the production floor as assigned.
- Responsible for receiving and unloading trucks and deliveries of raw, bulk or packaged materials as assigned.
- Uses forklift, pickers, cranes, hoist, dollies, and all other warehouse equipment as required.
- May perform material cutting such as carpet, woven fiberglass, PVC pipe, or wood.
- Aids in training new employees on Materials B & C job duties.
- Ensure work areas and equipment are regularly inspected, free of debris and in proper operating condition.
- May include other special tasks, as assigned.
- Ability to perform walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in either heat or cold.
- Ability to work around dust, fumes, chemicals, dirt, and fibers.
- Ability to read and write.
- Manual dexterity
- Have good attendance habits.
- Experience in warehouse operations
- Working knowledge of computer
