JANITOR (Part‑Time) Positions

We are hiring immediately for part‑time JANITOR positions at Kilgore ISD, 711 North Longview Street, Kilgore, TX 75662. Openings are also available at other locations within the school district.

Schedule
:
Part‑time schedule; days may vary, 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. Full and part‑time hours are flexible to meet most scheduling needs.

Requirement
:
Prior janitorial experience is preferred.

Fixed Pay Rate
: $10.50 per hour

Maintains a clean and orderly environment, performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection‑control plans.
• Dusts and damp‑mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Uses assigned materials and equipment to clean assigned areas. Sanitizes all surfaces and follows the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, visitors, and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refines floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
