Plant Controller – Leading Manufacturing Company

My client is a leading manufacturing company that is experiencing growth and looking to add a Plant Controller to a new manufacturing facility. The Plant Controller supports the plant with financial reporting, analysis, and guidance on all shop floor production related accounting.

$100,000 – $135,000 per year

Location:

Longview–Marshall Area

• Preparation of monthly financial statements, including maintaining journal entries and posting to the general ledger. Coordinate the monthly close process within 3 days of month end.
• Responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices.
• Understand key business drivers and how they impact budgets and forecasts. Ensure budgets are accurate, comprehensive, completed on time, and tied to detailed sales forecast.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts within 5 days of month‑end. Review all reserves for reasonableness.
• Deliver monthly detailed analysis on plant performance, with commentary and presentation materials on sales analysis, variances, and expenses.
• Provide detailed financial reports and analysis to the local management team and work with the plant manager to interpret financial results impacting the plant.
• Actively support the plant manager with insight and analysis to enable a more profitable facility. Develop variance reports, allowing the management team to focus on process improvements that improve efficiencies. Conduct variance analysis compared to budget, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Continuously monitor plant activity with a daily dashboard focusing on bookings, sales, inventory, and variance analysis.
