This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Health Sciences department and reports to the Director of Surgical Technology.

• Provide didactic content, evaluate students, report progress, and periodically review and update course material.
• Deliver instructional materials in person and facilitate classroom discussions.
• Assist students in connecting to college resources.
• Participate in advisory meetings, instructor workshops, accreditation preparation, and a variety of student clinical assignments.
• Demonstrate flexibility, openness, fairness, and superior जबौ listening skills.

• Good ||= listening skills, patience, and awareness of diverse student learning styles.
• Ability to use multiple and diverse delivery systems focused on student learning outcomes.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology education program.
• Associate degree or higher and Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent experience in the operating room scrub role or as a surgical technology instructor (within the past five years).
• Maintain surgical technology certification throughout employment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Above‑average computer skills;
  Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Respectful, professional, and collegial demeanor.
• Ability to promote an effective learning environment in lecture and lab experiences.
• Capability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

• Salary for adjunct faculty is based on level of education:
  • $1,800 per 3‑hour course for a master’s degree
  • $2,000 per 3‑hour course for a doctorate
• Worker’s compensation
• Limited part‑time retirement plan

Kilgore College does not participate inкажите the federal Social Security program.

Adjunct instructor positions are part‑time. Teaching assignments will vary from semester to semester and are based on enrollment.
