An opportunity has arisen for a Manager Integrated Technology (UK Operations) to join the FIT UK department in our Kidlington office.

About

The Role

The Manager of Integrated Technology (UK) is the senior technology leader supporting a global operating model accountable for IT continuity, service delivery, and technology-enabled business outcomes across the UK operations.

The role partners with the senior business leaders in the UK and other non
- Australian locations. Acting as the primary UK technology interface to Group Technology in Perth, the role ensures alignment to global standards while meeting the unique demands of advanced manufacturing, battery cell development, motor sport operations, and corporate functions.

The position has dotted line reporting for the full UK IT team and supports the hard line reporting into Global leads, primarily ensuring the requirements of the Fortescue Zero business are fully supported and delivered within the global operating model. The role will be heavily focused on support, coaching and development of the UK team.

What you will do

Key Accountabilities
  • IT Operations & Service Continuity
  • Own overall IT service continuity, availability, and performance across all UK sites
  • Ensure robust incident, problem, and change management practices are in place and effective
  • Maintain high availability of mission‑critical systems, particularly those supporting manufacturing, R&D, and motor sport operations
  • Lead site support teams to deliver responsive, high‑quality end‑user services
  • Infrastructure: accountable for UK IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, end‑user computing, and site connectivity
  • Ensure infrastructure is secure, resilient, and scalable, aligned to Group Technology architecture and cyber standards
  • Own infrastructure lifecycle planning, refresh, and decommissioning activities
  • Application Support & Business Partnership: lead application support teams responsible for business‑critical systems
  • Act as a senior technology business partner to UK leaders across engineering, manufacturing, racing operations, finance, procurement, and facilities
  • Translate business needs into technology roadmaps and investment cases aligned to Group strategy
  • Programme & Project Delivery: lead a Programme Delivery team comprising Project Managers, a Change Management Lead, and Business Analysts
  • Ensure effective delivery of UK technology projects, from initiation through to adoption and benefits realisation
  • Establish and maintain project governance, prioritisation, and delivery discipline aligned to Group Technology frameworks
  • Financial & Commercial Management: support UK IT and programme delivery budgets more than £20 million, including both capital and operating expenditure
  • Ensure strong financial governance, cost control, and value realisation across all technology spend
  • Support vendor management, contract negotiations, and commercial performance of strategic suppliers
  • Provide clear financial reporting and investment recommendations to Group Technology leadership
  • Stakeholder and Group Alignment: serve as the UK technology lead and senior escalation point
  • Maintain strong alignment with Group Technology in Perth ensuring adherence to global standards architecture and security requirements
  • Represent UK technology priorities and investment needs in global planning and governance forums
