Join Wyre Forest District Council at a pivotal moment as we modernise and elevate the way we manage our Council’s vehicle fleet. We’re looking for a dynamic and forward‑thinking Fleet Operations Officer who’s ready to take ownership of a high‑profile service and drive real improvement across the Council.

In this influential role, you’ll lead the strategic and day‑to‑day management of our corporate fleet, ensuring every vehicle, driver, and process meets the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and O‑Licence compliance. You’ll be the Council’s expert voice on fleet operations, taking decisive action to protect our operator’s licence, overseeing investigations, and ensuring our systems and records meet all regulatory expectations.

You’ll shape the future of our fleet by championing greener, smarter, and more cost‑effective ways of working. From developing digital processes and analysing performance data to identifying commercial opportunities and enhancing business systems, you’ll play a key role in transforming how we operate. You’ll work closely with service managers, partners, and external agencies, building strong relationships and representing the Council with professionalism and confidence.

  • You will be required to provide a suitable vehicle for this post
  • Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings.
