Job Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to manage and optimize the flow of materials, components, and finished products throughout our supply chain interlay and externally. The role requires expertise in industrial logistics, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and high-quality service to our customers and finding outsourced logistics suppliers.
Job Description:- Oversee and manage the movement of raw materials, components, and finished products across the supply chain.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align logistics activities with business goals.
- Plan, schedule, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery to clients and project sites.
- Coordinate with transport companies, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain accurate inventory records and optimize space utilization.
- Manage order processing from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
- Address and resolve any issues related to delays, damaged goods, or incomplete shipments.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, including customs requirements.
- Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Analyze transportation costs and negotiate favorable rates with carriers.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Track key logistics metrics, such as delivery times, freight costs, and order accuracy.
- Generate regular reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with logistics service providers and suppliers.
- Evaluate vendor performance and recommend changes when necessary.
- Quickly address logistical challenges, such as delays, supply chain disruptions, or equipment failures.
- Develop contingency plans to minimize operational risks.
- Maintain accurate records in SAP.
- Act as the point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules and updates.
- Ensure clear and timely communication to manage customer expectations effectively.
- Ensure logistics activities comply with company health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to address any issues with product handling or transportation.
- Maintain and manage customs exemption
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
3+ years of experience
Skills:- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics.
- Strong Business acumen
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in an ambitious environment.
