Job Description Overview
A Quantity Surveyor (QS) plays a critical role in ensuring the commercial and contractual success of construction and infrastructure projects. This role involves overseeing costs, managing contracts, assessing commercial risks, and supporting project teams in achieving financially efficient project delivery. The QS acts as a commercial advisor, ensuring compliance with contract terms, financial accuracy, and robust documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Your role- Review and process IPCs, ensuring checklists are completed and approvals/ payment workflows are followed.
- Review RFCs, VOs, and other commercial change documents, providing clear commercial assessment.
- Support commercial discussions with vendors to resolve issues (IPCs, RFCs, VOs, EOTs, Final Accounts).
- Maintain key commercial logs (contract expiry, payment tracking). Prepare contract addenda/ amendments as needed. Review RFQs/RFPs and raise Sourcing Requests (SRs) and Purchase Requests (PRs) in SAP Ariba.
- Support internal audits by collecting required documentation.
- Review insurance and bond submissions and provide comments.
- Attend commercial meetings and coordinate between Engineers, PMCs, Vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Previous experience of FIDIC Contracts preferred.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying from recognized university.
- Min 5 years post‑degree relevant experience in contracts and commercial management.
