Structural Draftsman

House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO) is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm based in Saudi Arabia. HCO employs a diverse range of architectural, engineering, planning, and consultancy professionals, allowing them to offer a "one-stop solution" for their clients' project needs throughout the entire lifecycle. HCO works on a wide range of project types, including residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, retail, and healthcare.

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Draftsman to join our team in Khobar
. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and structural drafting, with specialized experience in BIM modeling, structural detailing, and producing coordinated drawings in compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, and local regulations.

• Prepare and deliver high-quality, accurate structural drawings and BIM models that comply with project requirements and engineering standards throughout all design stages (concept to IFC).
• Collaborate closely with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop, coordinate, and review design drawings and models.
• Apply and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and templates according to the project BIM Execution Plan.
• Incorporate feedback, redlines, and markups from engineers and design lead promptly and accurately.
• Conduct clash detection and coordinate with architectural, MEP, and other discipline models using BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks).
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure timely submission of deliverables aligned with project schedules.
• Participate in internal reviews and coordination meetings to support smooth and integrated design development.
• Stay updated with new drafting and BIM technologies and promote their effective adoption.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 6–10 years of proven experience as a Structural Draftsman in a design office environment.
• Proficient in BIM modeling and drafting software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of structural detailing, design documentation, and construction practices.
• Familiarity with international and local codes and standards (e.g., ACI, BS, SBC).
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement structural calculations and engineer markups.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with projects in Saudi Arabia and knowledge of local authority requirements is a plus.
