We are currently seeking a Head of Instrumentation & Control to join a growing engineering team in Saudi Arabia. This is a pivotal role for a seasoned professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions and contributing to the development of both traditional and low-carbon energy projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all instrumentation engineering activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Allocate and manage discipline resources for proposals, FEED verification, and detailed engineering phases.
- Monitor team workload and performance, ensuring timely delivery and quality output.
- Collaborate closely with engineering leads and department heads to align project goals and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure availability of all necessary reference materials, standards, and vendor documentation.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Conduct QA/QC checks and ensure adherence to project execution hours.
- Evaluate constructability and value engineering opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and raise concerns or suggestions to the Head of Department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field);
Chartered status preferred. - Extensive years of experience in a design engineering environment, with a strong background in oil & gas and/or energy transition projects.
- Proven leadership in managing engineering teams and project execution.
- Experience working on projects in the Middle East; familiarity with regional standards and practices is a plus.
- Previous involvement in major energy projects, including low‑carbon technologies such as CCUS, hydrogen, and renewables.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in engineering and modeling software.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Skilled in estimating execution hours and resource planning.
- Deep understanding of QA/QC processes and standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively across international teams and disciplines.
