Position: Transport Planner / Transport Coordinator
We are looking for Transport Planner / Transport Coordinator for our client in Bristol. They are a waste management and recycling company providing reliable skip hire, wheelie bin collections, commercial waste solutions and recycling services across Bristol, Bath and the South West.

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Transport Planner / Transport Coordinator to help optimise and coordinate our client's waste collection and delivery operations. You will play a key role in planning efficient routes, scheduling vehicles and drivers, and supporting the smooth running of daily transport activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and optimise daily transport routes for waste and recycling collections

* Schedule vehicles and drivers to meet service requirements

* Monitor and respond to changes in workload or customer needs

* Liaise with customer service, operations and drivers to ensure excellent service delivery

* Support compliance with hours, health & safety, and environmental standards

* Use transport and routing systems to record and track movements

Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in route planning, transport coordination, or similar role (logistics experience is beneficial)

* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and routing/planning systems

* Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Waste management or recycling industry experience is a plus but not essential
