Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Night Manager to support the daily operations of the front desk during the evening and night shift at a 4-star hotel in Key West. The Night Manager is responsible for ensuring the operation of the Security Department and Night Audit in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with a safe and secure environment throughout their stay, and for protecting hotel guests, employees and the physical property of the company.
Audit, balance and report on the various areas of the hotel (e.g. food & beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, gift shop, etc.) to provide accurate, timely information and to ensure Hotel policies and procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
Security and safety oversight:
Supervise and motivate security personnel, ensuring compliance with hotel SOPs and overseeing property patrols for guest and employee safety.
Incident management:
Review daily security activity reports, conduct investigations, and ensure all incident reports are documented clearly and accurately.
Emergency response coordination:
Implement and manage emergency procedures for fire, weather events, power outages, and evacuations while maintaining the Emergency Response Kit.
Lost and Found management:
Monitor and enforce proper procedures for handling lost and found items, ensuring compliance with hotel policies.
Guest and staff security:
Conduct guest and employee escorts, bag and package inspections, and key audits to maintain safety and security standards.
Operational reporting:
Audit and balance financial transactions for all F&B outlets and front desk operations, ensuring accuracy in revenue postings, room charges, and adjustments.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience, with previous supervisory overnight experience preferred.
Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing software, with the ability to manage reports and operational data effectively.
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, ensuring all departmental functions meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work long and overnight shifts as needed, with the ability to lift to 20 pounds occasionally.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and support Night Audit, PBX, and bell services as required.
Due to visa restrictions, at the moment we are only accepting candidates from Mexico and Canada. The limitation on Mexican and Canadian nationals is a legal requirement tied to the specifics of the TN visa, not a preference of the employer.
Relocation:
TN Visa sponsorship for qualified candidates from Mexico and Canada.
One-way flight from home city to the U.S.
Housing available either single or double. $850/month for double and $1,750/month for single. Includes all utilities and WIFI.
General:
Competitive salary: $55,000 USD annually.
