Middle School PE Teacher​/Athletic Director

St. Agnes Academy in Key Biscayne, Florida has an opening for a qualified Middle School Physical Education Teacher to also serve in the role of Athletic Director for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. The Teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students from Grade 6 to Grade 8 in addition to all the school’s athletic program requirements for Grade K – Grade 8.

The selected candidate will begin in August and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

• Develop and implement an engaging physical education curriculum for students in grades 6 through 8, aligning with state standards and the school's mission.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the existing system and league regulations; implement these consistently.
• Attend all coaches’ meetings that require attendance.
• Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation within the school sports program.

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field required.
• Master’s degree in Physical Education or related field preferred.
• Florida Department of Education Certification in Physical Education preferred.
• Two years of related experience; experience as an Athletic Director is preferred.
• Ability to teach all levels of physical education from Grade 6 – Grade 8.
• Effective managerial skills to serve as Athletic Director and guide athletic coaches.
• Effective collaboration with administration, teachers, parents, team coaches, and students.
• Strong instructional strategies.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with iPad Applications and other online educational applications with a willingness to work with such technology.
• Excellent oral and written English; effective communication skills.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
