Full time Senior Manufacturing Engineer needed in Kettering, OH. Salary range $100K-$110K, full benefits. Med device preferred but not required, candidates from a regulated environment required. Focus is process validation yet also includes technical project management. 4-7 years of experience required.

Overview

A global leader in advanced engineering, prototyping, product development, and micro manufacturing, driving innovation in the medical device industry is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer due to growth.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for managing the direct material portfolio as well as leading and executing strategic projects across the organization. This individual will maintain on‑time delivery of raw material to Kettering operations, conduct supplier qualification, and lead process improvement and optimization initiatives. Additionally, the role involves managing projects while developing and sustaining an infrastructure for Lean / Six Sigma, margin expansion, and strategic growth.

At times, continuity of supply may require direct support of the manufacturing floor, including laser qualification support, equipment troubleshooting, process development, and investigation and disposition of non‑conforming materials.

Qualifications
  • Minimum BS degree in Engineering or Physics with 5-10 years Manufacturing / Process Engineering experience
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience dealing with interdisciplinary interaction to meet project schedules
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams successfully without a direct reporting relationship
  • Demonstrated experience managing suppliers and external technical resources
  • Working knowledge of product costing structures and COGs
  • General understanding of statistical analysis for purposes of equipment validation
  • Experience with Process Improvement / Optimization utilizing Lean Six Sigma (LSS) skillset
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Hands‑on
  • Strongly motivated and goal oriented
  • Willing to adjust working hours and/or work extra hours to meet project deadlines
