Overview

Our Neonatal Unit is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and well established Neonatal team as a QIS Band 6 Deputy Sister/Deputy Charge Nurse. The post holder must be 1 year post Neonatal QIS qualification.

Responsibilities
  • Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care plans for sick neonates and their families.
  • Take part in day‑to‑day unit management, providing support and leadership in the absence of a Clinical Sister.
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership, ensuring delivery of high standards of care for all babies and their families.
  • Act as a role model, sharing knowledge and facilitating teaching and supervision of junior staff and students.
  • Work both day and night shifts, requiring flexibility with working hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 1 year post Neonatal QIS qualification.
  • Experienced neonatal trained nurse with excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for neonatal care and commitment to professional development.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights.
Unit Details

Level 2 Local Neonatal Unit with 16 cots: 2 Intensive Care, 6 High Dependency, 8 Special Care neonates, and 4 TC.
