HGV Technician (Nights)

Are you a skilled HGV Technician looking for a high-earning role with a stable, predictable shift pattern? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join my clients’ workshop on a permanent night shift. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring they remain safe, compliant, and road ready.

With a competitive hourly rate and a 4-on-4-off schedule, this position offers the perfect balance of challenging technical work and significant time away from the workshop. If you are an NVQ Level 3 qualified mechanic with a “right first time” attitude, we want to hear from you.

• Perform full-service maintenance and repairs on a mixed vehicle and trailer fleet.
• Carry out routine safety and compliance inspections.
• Manage the MOT process, from initial preparation to final presentation.
• Complete all required digital paperwork and service sheets accurately using internal systems.
• Identify and resolve complex faults to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all H&S laws and company procedures.

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV Maintenance and Repair.
• Must possess a comprehensive personal toolkit suitable for HGV maintenance and repair.
• Ideally 2+ years of post-qualification experience in a workshop environment.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work within a fast-paced, demanding setting.
• Proficient in basic IT systems and digital diagnostic tools.
• HGV Class 1 license is highly desirable, though not essential.
