Deputy Manager

Overview

This Deputy Manager role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK, supports the General Manager in operating a compliant and effective person‑centred care home that provides a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors while meeting professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets.

• Provide inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
• Ensure medication policies and procedures are adhered to and support medication review and administration.
• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care plans.
• Complete monthly audits, quality indicator reports and any other required reports.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

• Minimum of two years experience in a similar care environment in a management position.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and be competent in use of IT systems.
• Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
