Job Vacancy:
Accountant

Location: Kettering, UK
Hours: 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Interaction Recruitment is excited to offer a vacancy for an Accountant to join our clients Finance Department in Kettering. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong accounting experience to contribute to the financial success of the business.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will provide varied financial and accounting support to the UK-based finance team, the China Office team, and other business areas. Full training will be provided, but the key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Preparation of the management accounts and forecasts
  • Assisting in year-end audits, providing documentation and answering auditors’ questions
  • Maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsible for VAT reporting
  • Supporting monthly and annual stock takes
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Analysis and reporting
  • Standard costing for Test Equipment products
  • Setting up new customer accounts
  • Making amendments to customer accounts
  • Sales invoicing for the Irish entity
  • Processing expense claims and credit card statements
  • Maintaining foreign currency petty cash
  • Processing monthly payroll
About You:

Essential:
  • Proven all-around accounts department experience, including involvement in the production of monthly management accounts
  • Ideally AAT Qualified or part qualified CIMA, ACCA, or a recognised equivalent
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills
  • Capable of developing others to enhance the department’s skills matrix
  • Proficient in working with intermediate-level Excel spreadsheets
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and Customer Engagement systems
  • An understanding of the consolidation of accounts
  • Payroll experience
