Job Title: Product Development Engineer

Salary: £45,000

Location: Kettering – Site based

An engineering-led organisation is seeking a Product Development Engineer to design and develop innovative engineered products from concept through to manufacture and commissioning. This role mænd offers hands‑on involvement across the Gandhi product lifecycle and close collaboration with manufacturing, project, and commercial teams.

• Design new and existing products using Solid Works, producing 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings
• Drive continuous improvement of products, designs and manufacturing processes
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
• Ensure all designs are fit for purpose, value engineered and compliant with statutory and H&S requirements
• Support project execution by liaising with internal departments and, where required, customers

• Proven experience in product / design engineering
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal and fabricated product design
• Proficient in Solid Works (sheet metal and weldments) and AutoCAD 2D
• Creative problem‑solver with strong communication and organisational skills
