Project Lead – DITL Group

Location:

Kettering area

Salary & Package: £30,000 - £35,000 (annual)

The Company

Specialist in installing and maintaining UK Electrical Highways projects covering street lighting, fibre, EV chargers, civils, ICP/DNO works, street furniture & signage.

The Role

As a Project Lead, you will assist in planning and coordinating projects, acting as key point of contact for clients, operatives and management. You will attend sites to carry out compliance checks, organise work schedules, ensure safety, quality and welfare standards, and support successful completion of projects within agreed timescales, budgets and standards. The role is office‑based with occasional site visits.

Typical Week
  • Collaborate with operations management to coordinate daily resource organisation.
  • Assist in planning and safe delivery of projects.
  • Support supervisors, operatives & field staff in project delivery.
  • Review site records, compile progress reports, and prepare information for the commercial & financial teams.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Identify additional work requirements and prepare information for the commercial team.
  • Write and prepare health & safety documentation, ensuring procedures are implemented on site.
  • Assist with material take-offs, place orders and organise deliveries to sites.
  • Manage document control, compare latest revision drawings against tender documents, and submit changes to the commercial team.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and site safety audits.
  • Participate in team development activities, including appraisals, pay reviews and interviews.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience in Highways / Fibre / Utilities / Civils / Construction / Street Lighting / DNO / ICP / Traffic Signs industries (essential)
  • Excellent prioritisation skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels
