Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.

Wicksteed Playgrounds are the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of play and Leisure equipment & have been designing; manufacturing; installing; landscaping and maintaining playgrounds since 1918.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join our team. You will be responsible for coordinating, preparing and submitting high-quality bids, tenders and proposals that align with client requirements and company objectives. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to produce compelling submissions that showcase Wicksteed’s expertise, value and creativity.

• Previous experience in bid writing, tender coordination or proposal development (desirable)
• Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure
• Commercially aware, with the ability to interpret specifications and pricing information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with structured documents and visuals

• Coordinate and lead the preparation and submission of proposals and bids to meet client specifications and deadlines.
• Manage the end-to-end bid process on high-value and complex tender opportunities.
• Liaise with various departments to gather accurate information, documentation and technical content.
• Produce high-quality written and visual tender submissions with clear value propositions.
• Compile quotations for tender submissions and other projects, including sourcing and validating pricing.
• Respond to PQQs, SQs and other pre-qualification questionnaires.
• Interpret tender specifications/briefs, ensuring compliance and offering cost-effective solutions.
• Work with senior management to develop bid strategy, win themes and differentiators.
• Maintain and develop the bid library with standard responses, case studies and templates.
• Analyse feedback from tender outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
• Perform any other duties as directed by a manager or director.
