The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for full-time Social Services Associate (SSA) located in Ketchikan, Alaska.
What You Will Be DoingA Social Services Associate is an administrative position. You will support professional staff by gathering information for assessments, case planning and evaluation. Duties may include providing parenting support during family contact, accessing electronic databases, and providing information to professional staff for referrals. You will work with families and children to enhance families’ capacities to give their children a healthy start, provide safe and permanent homes, maintain cultural connections, and help them realize their potential.
The incumbent will be courteous, professional, calm, motivated, efficient, and have strong critical thinking skills. Travel 0–2 times a month or year as needed. Overtime and on-call work may be required.

Working Environment You Can ExpectThis position is located in Ketchikan, Alaska and supports communities within Southeast Alaska. Travel may be 0–2 times a month or year, within the day or overnight, including small aircraft as needed. The role may require evenings, weekends, and holiday work.
