OverviewThis position is responsible for performing receptionist duties and providing clerical support for the Ketchikan Judicial Service Office. Key responsibilities include interacting with the public, answering phones, handling complex data entry, conducting case research, processing travel arrangements, and performing other clerical tasks as needed. The role also involves supporting various administrative functions as assigned, ensuring smooth and efficient office operations.

This position is located at the Ketchikan Judicial Office in the District Court Building in Ketchikan. The daily work environment consists of a small team of motivated and task-driven individuals. Individuals must be able to work with frequent interruptions and be able to work well with others to be successful in this position. We work hard, but also value teamwork and camaraderie.

High school diploma or the equivalent. One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as performing reception duties, answering routine questions on services or products, retrieving information from electronic or hard copy files, recording expenditures and receipts, or typing routine correspondence.
Substitution: Education from an accredited college may substitute for six months of the required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience); 150 hours of vocational education equal one month of experience.
Special NoteHigh school diploma equivalent means one of the following:
1) a G.E.D.;
2) completion of any basic adult education course equivalent to 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 course hours per week);
3) acceptance in full standing by an accredited college or university;
4) highest grade of school completed plus an amount of paid or volunteer experience that totals 12 years and includes basic clerical tasks such as…
