We are seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Cumbria on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the English curriculum and demonstrate effective communication skills, with a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching KS5 is also advantageous.
• Utilise strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management to ensure all students have the opportunity to reach their potential.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
• Be an excellent role model, demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Recent relevant experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is beneficial.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with robust classroom management skills.
• Reliable, committed, and interested in working with students.
• Good interpersonal skills, trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
